When talent and drive meet opportunity, great things can happen

Throughout its long history, Carroll College has been recognized for providing students a superior educational opportunity, grounded in the liberal arts tradition and focused on career preparation and lifelong learning. At Carroll, we believe that all students have the potential to enrich their communities. The quality education offered at Carroll cultivates that potential. However, ensuring that a college education is available to all students is a continuing challenge.

As Wisconsin’s oldest college, Carroll has always embraced students in their quest for a quality, yet affordable education. Often, our students and their families cannot meet the full cost of a Carroll education. In fact, 98 percent of our students receive financial aid. Donor support of scholarships enables us to reach out to those who seek a Carroll education but lack the financial resources.

Strengthening Carroll’s scholarship fund to provide more financial assistance and lessen the burden on students remains a priority. This is the basis for the Promising Futures Campaign. Our goal is to raise $10 million in scholarship support by June 30, 2007, to help students achieve their promising futures.

Even with generous scholarship support, the average loan debt for 2004 Carroll graduates was $14,830. While lower than the national average, this is a sizable debt for a new graduate.
