Carroll College is committed to opening the doors of opportunity for today’s students – those who will be tomorrow’s leaders.

Scholarships are not only important for maintaining our accessibility; they also help ensure academic achievement, continuous enrollment and more rapid entry into the community by competent, self-sufficient graduates.

A healthy and robust scholarship fund is important.

  • Increasingly, students are attracted to Carroll College. Full-time undergraduate enrollment has increased steadily over the past 10 years.
  • Carroll College is not an elite institution. Approximately 36 percent of Carroll students come from dual-income households earning less than $60,000. Approximately 14 percent of Carroll students are considered high need, coming from households earning less than $25,000. Ninety-eight percent of all Carroll students require financial assistance.
  • Carroll serves many first-generation college students. More than 40 percent of students enrolled at Carroll are the first in their family to pursue a college education. As higher education becomes increasingly valued, children are encouraged to obtain their degrees and more are choosing Carroll College.

The Promising Futures Campaign is Carroll’s long-term commitment to keep its educational experience within the financial reach of students and their families. This three-year, $10 million initiative is focused on providing more funds for scholarships that will help support students while continuing to keep tuition increases to a minimum.

Since our founding in 1846, Carroll College has provided students of high ability and promise an education marked by teaching excellence and individualized attention. While we have adapted to the changing landscape in education, our purpose remains: to provide an excellent education to students of all income levels.

Today’s fast-paced global economy offers exciting opportunities for graduates skilled in critical thinking and problem solving. The Carroll College community is committed to ensuring that these opportunities remain accessible to all students.

As we strive to enhance the financial aid opportunities for students, we ask alumni, parents and friends to invest in the Promising Futures Campaign. Your support will benefit students who have demonstrated the potential to succeed and need only the means to develop their abilities to the fullest through a Carroll education.
