Curriculum
- The program recently added an entrepreneurship emphasis that allows students to focus on running a small business.
- Minors in finance, management, and marketing are also available.
- The business program puts an emphasis on case study and practical application, as well as focusing on the use of business technologies.
Internships
- All business students are required to complete a pre-approved internship.
- Students can develop their own internship or choose one of the numerous internships coordinated by the faculty.
- Carroll’s location in the Milwaukee metropolitan area ensures unique internship opportunities.
- Two components of the internship program include:
- A career management seminar that prepares students for future
internship and employment opportunities by teaching students
how to effectively communicate and work in a business environment.
- The on-site internship experience. Past internship experiences include Merrill Lynch, S.C. Johnson, 3M Corporation, AT&T, Miller Brewing Company, IB, and the Performing Arts Center, and many small and medium sized organizations.
Mentorships
- All business students are required to participate with a business mentor.
- Students receive a Carroll alumni mentor who offers professional career counseling and networking opportunities.
