Welcome

Environmental science is an interdisciplinary science that teaches how the environment is impacted by human decisions. It incorporates geology, chemistry, physics, ecology and mapping, and blends these areas into an applied scientific field. Supporting this core are social sciences vital to our understanding of how humans interact with the environment. The program allows students to tailor a curriculum to their interests.

Carroll University’s unique location in a rapidly growing and resource-rich area provides students with opportunities to explore fields of interest within environmental science. Waukesha County has a unique geologic history that creates an abundance of aquatic resources, varied topography, and unique plant and animal communities, all strongly influenced by rapid population growth.

The program manages the 60-acre Greene Field Station and houses one academic major with a variety of tracks and two minors.
