Welcome

Information technology consistently has been one of the top 10 highly demanded careers in the U.S. in recent years and that demand is expected to continue. The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program at Carroll University is designed to prepare students with the competencies and skills in computer hardware, database design, server administration, Web site development, information security, information and project management, and programming, all of which would enable graduates to function effectively in the information technology arena. Students can explore specific technology areas while learning to address real-world business opportunities and challenges.

As information technology penetrates every aspect of business, our social lives and entertainment, students have opportunities to choose one of the emphases to develop expertise in a specific area. Students can now choose between Web Application Development, and Business and Social Applications. In the near future, we will add emphases in networking and computer games development.
