Theatre facility
The Otteson Theatre is a fully equipped modern black-box theatre. Two performance spaces, a mainstage theatre seating 224 and a more intimate studio theatre seating 40, are complemented by production shops, offices and classrooms. These theatres give students the advantage of experiencing proscenium, thrust, arena or experimental stage configurations. A state-of-the-art lighting system was installed in 1999. Recent funding provided by the Cordelia Pierce Hedges bequest has allowed for continual updating of other equipment, including all new seating in 2004.
